Youth Gather in Coventry for the 12th Night of the Pursuit of Worship Event

At the Pursuit of Worship Night in Coventry, held at the Billy Graham and Samaritan’s Purse National Ministry Centre, youth and young adults from across the region came together for an evening filled with worship, testimony, and bold faith. Before the doors opened, guests connected over goody bags, ice cream, cookies, and friendly games of basketball and table tennis.
Outside the venue, youth queued up at the ice cream van, using the moment to strike up conversations and get to know each other—starting the evening with relaxed connections and a shared sense of anticipation.
Table tennis, Jenga, and basketball gave the youth a chance to relax and bond naturally before the evening started.
NMC staff were on hand throughout the evening, warmly welcoming guests, offering guidance, and helping youth find their way—making sure everyone felt at home from the moment they arrived.
At the Free Pursuit event in Coventry, speaker Reuben Morley welcomed the attendees and encouraged young people to explore their faith and live it out boldly. He shared simple ways to help them share their beliefs, follow what is right, and support others who call on the Lord with a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22, ESV).
The evening began with a heartfelt welcome and an inspiring message from Dave Boden, Director of the Grace Foundation and author of Like or Follow. He challenged everyone to move beyond surface-level faith. “When we choose to follow Jesus, it’s not like following a celebrity from a distance,” he explained. “He walks alongside you, offering His presence every step of the way.” Dave reminded the crowd that true identity isn’t found in social media likes but in the unchanging love of Christ: “You were made for a reason and called for a purpose.”
As the night unfolded, worship led hearts into God’s presence, and powerful testimonies encouraged many to step out in faith and trust Him more deeply.
Ashtyn Michael led the youth in powerful worship and praise, creating a space where everyone could lift their voices and connect with God.
Young people danced joyfully in God’s presence, offering heartfelt praise as they were empowered to share their faith with courage and live it out confidently. “The righteous are as bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1, ESV).
Virginnia Logan, evangelist with CFAN UK and leader of King’s Army UK, shared her powerful story of transformation. Once distant from faith and searching in all the wrong places, she found God’s peace in the most unexpected place—a nightclub. “I felt a peace and love like a blanket,” she recalled. “Through the cross, we are set free from emptiness. I discovered true joy in Jesus Christ.” Her heartfelt invitation resonated deeply with many: “Today is your day of freedom. Today is your day to come to the cross and have your life changed.”
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Rapid Response Team Chaplains were present, offering support and speaking to the youth, as well as providing prayer and counselling to anyone in need.
Keanen (26), a youth leader from Life Church Bedworth, shared how each speaker offered a fresh perspective: “Each speaker brought something unique from their own faith journey, which really resonated with the youth. I’m already looking forward to bringing a group to the event on June 21.” Will you pray for the God Loves You Tour in the UK this June? Pray for boldness to invite others and for many to find a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
