Press Release: Most Searched For Questions About Christmas Revealed by The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has revealed the most searched for questions, about Christmas, as it hears from thousands seeking Christ each year.

Through its Internet Evangelism ministry, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association sees an average of 1,100 people explore the Gospel each day. In one month alone a total of 37,146 people visited PeaceWithGod.co.uk from the UK.

One element of the ministry’s main website is a selection of questions that Billy Graham responded to in a local North Carolina newspaper column. With around 4,000 questions and answers available, it provides a great resource to anyone seeking to know more about Christianity.

The most searched for questions, relating to Christmas, have up to 100 searches a day.

Lee Searle, UK Director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association said;

“We are blessed with an incredible resource for sharing The Gospel with those searching for Christ online. The questions we see, and the amount of people asking them, encourages me that the UK is still hungry for the truth”

The most searched for question about Christmas relates to King Herod; “Why did King Herod try to kill Jesus?”.

Billy Graham responds to the question saying “King Herod [was] a cruel, power-hungry ruler who destroyed anyone he feared was trying to topple him from his throne”. He goes on to warn that “even in our own day evil men and women rise up against God’s work.”

“One question that surprised us was that of Christmas trees”, Searle continues, “Hundreds of people want to know if the Bible bans Christmas Trees. It may be a confusing question to many Christians, but this data is important for understanding what people want to know”.

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association regularly shares the questions on its social media and through it’s website BillyGraham.org.uk.

Searle said, “We know that many will be searching for Christ this Christmas. It’s important that we meet those people where they’re at and are ready to help point them to our Saviour, whose birth was an important part of demonstrating his love for them.”
