Praying for Open Hearts in London: Christian Life and Witness Course

Noel Aiworo, from London, gave his life to Christ decades ago in 1997 when he was only 24-years-old.

Now in his 50s, he dedicates his time serving as a worship leader at his church, Harrow International Christian Centre, where one of the many Christian Life and Witness Courses are being held in London.

During the three-hour seminar, designed to equip Christians with practical skills on how to share the Gospel, attendees were reminded about the importance of evangelism in our own personal faith journey. “We are called by God to be different. We must be creating bridges to bring people to Jesus,” the seminar leader said.

“Training like this is important for the most mature Christians because it’s always good to refresh and revitalise your knowledge in the Bible.”

Hearing this sparked something in Noel. “I’ve been a Christian for what seems like all my life, and I know there’s always room to grow my knowledge in the Word, he explained. “The training has reminded me of our purpose here as Christians, and the importance of sharing Christ in this world.

To Noel, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Christian, the journey of growing and deepening your faith never ends.

“Training like this is important for the most mature Christians because it’s always good to refresh and revitalise your knowledge in the Bible,” Noel said.

Not having received evangelism training in a long time, Noel emphasised the importance for believers to continue learning skills on how to share his faith with others. “That’s what we’re here for – we’re here to spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ,” the worship leader said.

“This training has reminded me that as believers, we must not conform to the world but instead be bold for the Gospel truth. We must be a beacon of light to others around us and share the Good News, that’s the only way we can save souls,” he added.

“Young people need guidance, but most importantly they need Christ.”

Noel feels a burden on his heart to see young people come to Christ. Living in London, Noel understands the multifaced struggles many of the younger generation battle with. “The youth of today face so many challenges that generations before have never to,” Noel explained. “I see their struggles with drugs, alcohol, loneliness, misdirection and emptiness.”

Given the opportunity, Noel would like to share how he overcame his own struggles as a young person by putting his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. “I want to share my story with them of how Jesus changed my life. Young people need guidance, but most importantly they need Christ.”

Noel hopes to have the opportunity to minister and pray with new believers whilst serving as a counsellor at the God Loves You Tour this coming August.

“I’m excited to see people saved!” Noel added. “I’m also looking forward to ministering to young people on the night. We need to ensure they know Christ now, so they can make disciples as they grow into mature Christians in the future. I’m praying for God to open those doors.”
