THE ONLY POWER THAT CAN SET PEOPLE FREE

I’ve just finished preaching in Kraków, Poland, where the Lord did a mighty work. Before the God Loves You Tour event, journalists in the city bluntly asked me why I wanted to share the Gospel there in Poland’s City of Churches. While it may be filled with historic cathedrals, so many of its residents believe that following a set of rituals will make them right with God. My answer to the media was simple: only a relationship with Jesus Christ can do that—and we praise God that more than 730 people made life-changing decisions for Him during the event.

Almost 200 buses brought people to the TAURON Arena Kraków from all across the region—as far as eight hours away—from the far north of Poland to the Czech Republic in the west. And some of the first buses to arrive came all the way from Ukraine!

Nyasha* was among the hundreds who boldly walked to the front. The 25-year-old college student had seen an ad for the God Loves You Tour and asked her friend to attend with her. Nyasha is new to Poland after moving from Zimbabwe just a few months ago—and when her friend turned her down, she was worried about attending alone. She came anyway and listened closely to the Good News. The Holy Spirit worked in Nyasha’s heart and mind, and she prayed to place her faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

“I feel light, I feel free,” she said afterward. “I need Jesus in my life.” One of our prayer volunteers gave Nyasha a new Bible and invited her to attend church with her the following Sunday. Please join us in praying for her—and for every person who made a life-changing decision for the Lord in Kraków. Right now, hundreds of churches are working hard to follow up with these brothers and sisters. Ask God to strengthen them as they minister too.

STUDENTS DISCOVER FRESH CONFIDENCE IN THE GOSPEL

Last month, hundreds of young people attended Pursuit of Worship nights in Leicester, Birmingham, and Wolverhampton across a weekend. These free events offered students the chance to invite friends who do not know the Lord to hear the Gospel, plus enjoy music led by Faith Child and Sean Curran. “There’s only two types of people in this world: those that know Jesus and those that don’t,” said Chandler Hampton, tour associate of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at the Leicester event.

With well over 200 in attendance, Chandler shared a powerful word about the thief on the cross from Luke 23. “All we have to do is turn to Jesus and He will save us,” he encouraged. That’s exactly what Ivy* did. Amidst the stress of exam preparation, her cousin Nathanael invited her to attend the event. When Chandler invited the crowd to respond to the Gospel, she surrendered her life to the Lord. Nathanael is already a believer and was thrilled by her decision. “My cousin gave her life to Christ!” he said at the end of the night.

“Young people think they’re judged for everything they do,” explained Parth, another attendee who came from a Hindu background but gave his life to Christ just over a year ago. “But here, no one’s judging, because it’s a free area for them to worship and feel the presence of God.”

Ivy represents just one of many students who made decisions for Christ during the weekend—a glimpse of what can happen when nonbelievers encounter the presence of God and hear the Gospel. Both Parth and Nathanael were inspired to carry the message of the cross to their friends and family who need Jesus.

“One of our key things should be to encourage our friends. No one but us holds the key to showing them Jesus,” said Parth. “I know I need to be more bold,” said Nathanael.
