HOPE FOR A NEW GENERATION

Dear Friend,

On 3 October, I was in Manchester to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was my first time there, and I was struck by two things: there were young people everywhere, and nearly one-third of its residents had no belief in anything. Halfway between London and Edinburgh, Manchester is the third-largest metro area in the United Kingdom, and more than 90 languages are spoken there.

It’s a vibrant, international city—with wealth, education, and entertainment—but so many there are empty. With more than 10,000 people gathered in the Co-op Live arena, I shared a warning—and a promise—from Luke 17. We all have a date with death, but we can have eternal life with God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

As the Gospel echoed throughout the huge facility, the Holy Spirit was working in the hearts of men, women, and children, from the highest row of seats to those on the floor. When I gave the invitation, over 750 individuals came forward to make decisions for the Lord—many under the age of 30.

Amy was one of them. This 19-year-old came to the event with two of her friends. She was born in India but moved to Manchester four years ago.
She struggled with the worldliness all around her. “Many young people are going out every weekend,” she said, “and people are always drinking.”

We praise God that as I preached on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Amy understood her own need for the Saviour. With a grateful heart, she made her way to the front

Where she prayed to surrender her life to the Lord. The message that salvation comes only through faith in Christ is “exactly what the people of Manchester need to hear,” Amy said. “Especially us youth, because we’re the next generation.” Now, hundreds of local partner churches are following up with those who made decisions for Christ during the event.
Ask God to make them “strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10, NKJV), and pray that these new believers like Amy will grow in their faith and confidently tell others about Jesus Christ.

New believers met with trained volunteers in Manchester—and they each received their own copy of God’s Word to help them grow in faith.
Cissie Graham Lynch—with her father—challenged attendees at the Billy Graham Library to take a bold stand on God’s truth in these dark days.

BILLY GRAHAM LIBRARY: COURAGEOUS FAITH IN A CHAOTIC WORLD

My daughter, Cissie, recently held a live Fearless podcast recording and book signing event at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina for her new book, Stand Steady.
During the podcast, she challenged attendees to look to God’s Word for strength in living faithfully for Him in our compromising culture. She also told the audience that the inspiration for the book’s title came from her grandfather Billy Graham. “Daddy Bill,” she explained, “once said, ‘I feel sorry for the man who has never known the bracing thrill of taking a stand and sticking to it fearlessly.’” Will you pray that God will use this book to raise up many people to be bold for Him—so that they can know for themselves the thrill of courageous faith?
As we approach the end of the year—and as I think about all that I’m grateful for—I thank God for you and your prayers and support.

In the next several months, we will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the only hope for our broken world—in Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Ireland. Your partnership this month will help give people across the globe the opportunity to “know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that [they] may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19, NKJV).

May the Lord richly bless you,
