Cissie Graham Lynch is back with a new Fearless episode on forgiveness, one of the 10 attributes in her upcoming book, Stand Steady. In this conversation, Cissie shares about growing up with resentment towards her dad, Franklin Graham. His frequent ministry trips required him to be away for key moments in her childhood. Cissie’s bitterness about his absence turned into unforgiveness—until God changed her heart during a trip with her dad to Kenya.
“In that moment I had a realisation that my dad had been gone my entire childhood because he was being obedient to what God had called him to do,” Cissie says. “Satan will tell you to hold on to the hurt, but resentment only breeds more resentment. I learned that forgiveness breeds freedom.”
Cissie opens up about this very personal story and what she learned from that change of heart. You’ll also hear about the incredible, grace-filled life of American hero Louis Zamperini. The episode ends with a simple, but powerful question: Who have you not forgiven? Find power to close the prison doors of bitterness, anger, and resentment forever, and choose to walk toward the freedom of forgiveness today.
