Over 65 Christians from across Manchester gathered at Precious Peoples Parish on 16 May 2026 for one of the Christian Life and Witness Courses (CLWC) taking place across the UK ahead of the God Loves You Tour in Manchester this October.
During the seminar, attendees were encouraged and equipped with practical tools to share the Gospel confidently. Godsgift who attended the course after hearing about it through church, said the training answered a need many believers already recognised.
“Training in evangelism was something that we wanted to do,” she explained. “Going out with our team, it’s been something that we recognised that we had a need for.”
Throughout the seminar, attendees were encouraged to trust God while sharing their faith rather than relying on their own abilities. For Godsgift, that message stood out the most.
“You don’t need to add anything,” she said. “Making it simple brings out the fact that it is God who does the work. I just plant the seed or I just water, but God causes the increase at the end of the day.”
The course also inspired her to become more intentional in prayer and evangelism. Reflecting on the importance of sharing the Gospel in today’s world, Godsgift spoke about the struggles many people face and the need for hope in Christ.
“I feel like the world is going in a very separate direction from what God had initially planned,” she said. “People need to know that there is someone out there that loves them.”
Referencing issues affecting many young people today, including loneliness and suicide, she added: “If you know God, He will be your firm foundation for everything.”
Tam, who attends Precious Peoples Parish, said he came to the course because he “wanted to know the best way possible to evangelise.” While the CLWC provided practical tools, including creative thinking about evangelism in a digital age, Tam’s biggest takeaway was fresh courage to step out in obedience to share his faith.
“You shouldn’t be worried about winning the soul,” he explained. “It’s basically planting a seed and hoping that seed either germinates, or you’re watering a seed that’s been planted. God is the one who does the rest.”
The seminar also got Tam thinking about how to reach young adults online. “How do I reach out to them digitally? Will it be in the form of videos? Pictures? Short-form videos? It has sparked my thinking.”
Both attendees expressed excitement about serving during the upcoming God Loves You Tour.
Godsgift, who has already signed up to volunteer as a counsellor, described serving as “an honour. I’m excited to see people’s lives transformed when they say yes to Christ,” she said.
Tam also hopes to serve during the outreach and prayed simply that God would “win as many souls as possible.”
When asked what advice they would give to Christians nervous about evangelism, both attendees pointed back to faith and simplicity.
“Keep it simple and pray,” Godsgift said. “Pray for open doors, pray for open hearts and pray for open mouths.”
Tam added: “Just do it—and let God do the rest.”
For both attendees, the message at the heart of the day remained clear: the Gospel is still needed, and every Christian has a part to play in sharing it.
