Christian Life and Witness Course Training Continues Across Greater Manchester Ahead of the God Loves You Tour

Dele Famokunwa attended a Christian Life and Witness Course in Greater Manchester, where he was reminded of the importance of being a witness in every area of life. Please pray for Christians across Manchester as they prepare to share the Gospel ahead of the God Loves You Tour on 3 October.

Dozens of Christian Life and Witness Courses (CLWCs) have been taking place in and around the North West of England ahead of the God Loves You Tour on 3 October, when Franklin Graham will share a Gospel message to thousands at the Co-op Live in Manchester. These CLWCs are just one of the pre-tour events run by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) that are equipping local churches to reach their communities with the Gospel.

“It’s reframed my priorities,” shared Dele Famokunwa, who attended a CLWC at Ivy Church, Cheadle Hulme, on the outskirts of Greater Manchester. “It’s reminded me that it’s not just about going to work or hanging out with friends, but it’s important to be a witness in those places.”

CLWCs are free, practical courses that seek to deepen believers’ faith in Jesus Christ and help them discover practical ways to point others to Him. The course also covers how to encourage and support new Christians so that they grow in their faith through studying the Word of God—providing a network of churches who are ready to receive and disciple new believers from the God Loves You Tour in October.

“I want to be a witness in the world to my neighbours, in my workplace, and to my friends,” Dele said. “It’s definitely encouraged me to be more prayerful for opportunities to share the Gospel.”

“Our current culture is so much further from God than it was 5, 10, 20 years ago,” Dele continued. “People don’t even know what Christianity is about, or they have an incorrect belief about it. That’s why evangelism is so important today—there’s so much need for it!”

Dele also shared how the God Loves You Tour itself is a helpful tool for evangelism: “It helps someone like me to have something to bring a friend to, and it stimulates conversation before and after. It gives something to centre on and enables them to hear the Gospel from someone else other than me.”

There are still many more CLWCs taking place in and around Manchester. To attend a CLWC near you, visit GodLovesYouTour.org.uk for more info. Please also be in prayer for the God Loves You Tour on 3 October, that many searching souls would come and find faith in Jesus Christ.

Participants worked through practical worksheets during the Christian Life and Witness Course, equipping them with tools to share the Gospel in their everyday lives.
