The Lord worked powerfully in London, England, through the God Loves You Tour as over a thousand attendees told us they made decisions for Jesus Christ, confessing, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you” (Psalm 16:2, ESV).
Tess* walked through the doors of the ExCeL London convention centre with a heavy heart.
The 30-year-old went to church as a child, but as a teenager, Tess made some poor choices, leading her away from Christian friends. More recently, Tess struggled with a difficult marriage, harmful addictions, and being separated from her children. When a friend invited Tess to the God Loves You Tour, she decided to attend and took a free bus to the event. After a time of worship music, Tess was deeply moved when she heard Franklin Graham say,
“The Bible is a book about forgiveness. God wants to forgive sinners through His Son, Jesus Christ. Are you willing to ask Him to forgive you?” Moments later, Tess walked forward and prayed in repentance and faith to receive Jesus Christ. “I felt Jesus was drawing me in,” she told a prayer counsellor.
Tess received a Bible and other discipleship materials to help her grow in faith. “Tess walked away really happy,” the volunteer explained. “She looked light and happy to have made a decision for Christ.”
Long after the music ended and announcements were made for bus departures, Arthur* remained seated. Toby,* a Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplain, approached the elderly man and asked if he needed help. The 70-year-old explained that when the invitation was given, he lost his courage to walk forward when he saw many others ahead of him. Our chaplain talked with him, and we praise God that Arthur decided to pray and receive the Lord by faith. He was encouraged to learn that we would share his commitment to Jesus Christ with a nearby church so he can mature in faith and develop Christian friendships.
Please pray for each person and announcements were who surrendered their life to Jesus Christ through this outreach in London. Ask God to help them grow to maturity as they read the Scriptures, pray, and begin attending a Bible-teaching church.
