God Heals the Hearts of Hundreds in London

It’s been almost a month since God moved mightily in London. More than 130 buses brought men, women, and children from all over England and Wales to ExCeL London, and by the time the event began, more than 10,500 people had gathered—far exceeding last year’s attendance. Thousands more watched the livestream online.

After Franklin Graham shared the unfailing message of the Gospel, hundreds came forward to proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Look back at how God touched the hearts of many last month.

Noreen* is a single mother who came forward at the invitation holding the hands of her adult daughter with disabilities. Noreen broke down and told the counsellor, “I can’t do this anymore.” Through tears, she said that the message touched her heart, and she was ready to follow Jesus Christ. Her 20-year-old daughter Jennifer,* listened carefully as the volunteer further shared the Gospel with her mother. Noreen bowed her head and prayed to surrender her life to Jesus Christ. Jennifer looked at the counsellor and reached for her arm. “Me too,” she said, and prayed in faith to  receive the Lord. “You’re part of a new family now,” the volunteer told mother and daughter and encouraged them to begin attending a local Bible-teaching church for discipleship.

AN INVITATION CHANGED THEIR LIVES

Rahul* and Samira* moved to London from India years ago but still felt lonely and isolated. They were looking for community when they became curious about Christianity and began watching church services online. When someone handed them a flyer inviting them to the God Loves You Tour, the married couple decided to go. They were deeply touched when Franklin shared that “God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent” (Acts 17:30, NASB). Rahul and Samira both responded to the invitation by praying to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. They prayed heartfelt prayers of total surrender, asking God to align their will with His. One of our counsellors talked to them about their decisions and gave them new Bibles and discipleship materials. Rahul and Samira thanked our counsellor and talked about how eager they are to deepen their new faith.

COMING BACK HOME TO CHRIST

James* came to the event with his cousin, not knowing what to expect. When Franklin told the crowd, “You’ve got to turn from your sins and believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,” his heart was pierced. The partying lifestyle he was caught up in lost its appeal, and he knew everything needed to change. When the invitation was given moments later, James walked forward. He told a counsellor, “This message tonight was a turning point for me. I felt like God was speaking to me and drawing me forward.” The young man prayed to receive Jesus Christ as his Saviour. Afterwards, he said, “This is a special moment for me. I feel very overwhelmed and I also feel very cleansed.”

THEY CAME BY THE BUSLOAD

A family of four came to the event on a bus with their church from Nottingham. The nearly three-hour bus ride didn’t dampen the children’s excitement about the event. The father, Seun,* originally from Nigeria, listened carefully to the message Franklin Graham shared about the prodigal son—who eventually returned home to his father. Deeply moved, Seun rededicated his life to the Lord, realising that he had strayed in recent years. To his great joy, his two children also made life-changing decisions for Jesus Christ. Abioye,* 12, confidently told a prayer counsellor, “This is an important decision because I want to be with the Lord our Saviour.” His sister also walked forward to pray—with childlike faith—and receive Christ.

Please lift up the many individuals who prayed in repentance and faith to follow Jesus Christ as Lord. Pray that they will read His Word daily and begin attending a Bible-teaching church for discipleship and fellowship.
