This week we celebrate the release of Cissie Graham Lynch’s book, Stand Steady, with a special Fearless episode recorded in front of a live audience at the Billy Graham Library. Her podcast listeners, friends, and family joined Cissie and her close family friend and BGEA chaplain, Preston Parrish. During the discussion, Preston asked Cissie to share more of the heart behind the book, some of the stories she writes about, and why she chose this specific time to bring this message to the world.
“I want this book to help prepare us for those bad days ahead,” she said, “when the world comes against us, so that we’ll be able to stand. Our hope is our destination. Our destination is Heaven, and that’s what keeps us going.”
Toward the end of the recording, Cissie invited all those gathered (and everyone watching and listening to the episode) to accept the Good News of Jesus Christ. In this world, she explained, we are all but guaranteed pushback, trials, and bad days—but ultimately we can choose to stand steady on the hope we have in Christ and in our final destination of Heaven.
