Dear Friend,

As the UK prepares for summer holidays in the next month, it’s my prayer that you and your loved ones are looking forward to restful time together. Whether you’re travelling or staying home, will you set aside time to pray for the God Loves You Tour this August? If you’re seeing extended family or friends over the holidays, this is also an excellent opportunity to invite them to the event at the ExCeL London, where they will hear the Good News that “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9, ESV).

I’m pleased to announce that Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, and Newsboys will join me in London on 26 August. These talented artists performed during last year’s God Love You Tour, and they will once again lead us in worship. Please pray that the Lord will use them to open many hearts to His truth.

Since transportation is often a barrier for people to attend events like the God Loves You Tour, we’ve arranged for buses to travel all over southern England to bring individuals to the ExCeL. These buses will come from as far west as Cardiff, Birmingham and Leicester in the north, and all around the southeastern coast. The area we can reach through these bus routes is home to well over 9 million people—and they desperately need to hear the Gospel.

A huge portion of the population in London—and the entire region—was born in another country. Many of these men and women come from countries and cultures closed to evangelism. They may have never heard the Good News before and are living without “the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 1:3, NLT). Please prayerfully consider talking to your pastor about helping people in your community find a bus to ride to the God Loves You Tour.

From filling buses to volunteering to inviting friends, this Gospel outreach depends on committed believers like you. Ask God to bring to mind family members, neighbours, colleagues, and friends who need to hear about His truth, start praying for them now, and then invite them to the event on 26 August. The vast majority of people who make decisions for Jesus Christ at these events are invited and brought by someone they know—so you are vital to reaching your loved ones with the Gospel.

Will you also start praying for all those who will hear the Good News during the event this August? Please ask God to begin softening hearts now. His Word promises that the “prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much” (James 5:16, NASB).

Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel. You are helping reach people all over the UK—and around the world—with God’s love.

May the Lord richly bless you,

Franklin Graham | President

CHRISTIAN LIFE AND WITNESS COURSE

Praying for Open Hearts in London

Noel Aiworo gave his life to Christ decades ago in 1997 when he was only 24 years old.

Now in his 50s, he serves as a worship leader at his church, which hosted one of the many Christian Life and Witness Courses being offered at no charge to attendees all across London.

During the three-hour seminar, designed to equip Christians with practical skills on how to share the Gospel, attendees were reminded about the importance of evangelism in our daily lives. “We are called by God to be different. We must be
creating bridges to bring people to Jesus,” the seminar leader said.

Hearing this sparked something in Noel. “I’ve been a Christian for what seems like all my life, and I know there’s always room to grow my knowledge in the Word,” he explained. “The training has reminded me of our purpose here as Christians, and the importance of sharing Christ in this world.”

To Noel, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Christian; the journey of growing in your faith never ends. “Training like this is important for the most mature Christians, because it’s always good to refresh and revitalise your knowledge in the Bible,” he said.

Noel has a burden to see young people come to Christ. “The youth of today face so many challenges … drugs, alcohol, loneliness, misdirection, and emptiness.”

The worship leader wants to share how he overcame his own struggles as a young person by putting his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. “I want to share my story with them of how Jesus changed my life. Young people need guidance, but most importantly they need Christ.”

As the God Loves You Tour draws near, Noel hopes to have the opportunity to minister and pray with new believers while serving as a counsellor.

“I’m excited to see people saved!” he added. “We need to ensure they know Christ now, so they can make disciples as they grow into mature Christians in the future. I’m praying for God to open those doors.”
