“Our daughter ran off with her boyfriend a few weeks ago, and my husband and I just don't know how to deal with it. We're telling people that she's left for college, but sooner or later they'll find out the truth. What would you do in our situation? We feel like such failures, both as parents and as Christians.”
“I'm in prison for embezzling money from my company, and I know I've hurt a lot of people. But what good would it do to ask them to forgive me? I know they won't do it, and to be honest, I can't blame them.”

“My brothers and sisters have always had a hard time getting along, but now that our parents are getting older and in bad health, it's just getting worse. The problem is, they're always arguing about who should get what from the estate, and things like that. How should I react as a Christian?”
“I guess you could call me a "Christmas and Easter" Christian because those are the only two times I make it to church (except for weddings and funerals). But what's wrong with that?”
“I had enough of religion when I was growing up. You probably wouldn't approve of the way I'm living, but why should I change? After all, God will give us a second chance after we die, won't He?”
“Have you seen that ad on TV about the man who says he's in debt up to his eyeballs? That's the way we feel. I know it's our own fault, but it's too late to do anything about it and I guess bankruptcy is the only answer. I wish someone had warned us about this.”
“Our son is trying to decide what college to go to when he gets out of high school in a couple of months, but he just can't make up his mind. We didn't go to college so we can't help him much. What would you suggest to him?”
“My late uncle was a good person in many ways but he never wanted anything to do with God. Will he be in heaven anyway? A friend of mine who thinks about religion a lot says he believes everyone will be saved eventually, because a loving God wouldn't send anyone to hell. Is he right?”
“How can I know for sure that I'm going to go to heaven? I've just seen that movie on the passion of Christ, and I was really overwhelmed by what Jesus went through for me. But I'm still not sure what I need to do to be saved, and I really want to know.”
“Why do I feel guilty when I do certain things? I don't believe in God, so I don't believe we have any God-given list of things that are right and wrong, and yet I still feel guilty. Why is this?”
